Ready in three steps

  1. Open the download

    Double-click Squeaky.dmg in your Downloads folder.

  2. Drag to Applications

    Drag the Squeaky bubble onto the Applications folder in the window that opens.

  3. Say hello

    Open Squeaky from Applications or Launchpad. The welcome guide walks you through the rest.

One-time setup

Give Squeaky a full view

To clean the Trash, Mail downloads and other protected folders, macOS asks you to allow Full Disk Access. Squeaky only looks; your files never leave your Mac.

  1. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Full Disk Access.
  2. Switch on Squeaky. If it isn't listed, click + and choose it from Applications.
  3. Back in Squeaky, it notices straight away. That's it!

System requirements

  • macOS 13 Ventura or later
  • Mac with Apple silicon or Intel processor
  • Ask Squeaky AI: macOS 26 with Apple Intelligence on Apple silicon (older Macs use the built-in helper)
  • Internet only for threat list updates and license activation
