1. Agreement
These terms are between you and Squeaky. By downloading or using Squeaky you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Squeaky.
2. Your license
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Squeaky on the number of Macs your purchase covers (1 Mac per license unless your order says otherwise). Squeaky is licensed, not sold; we keep all rights in the app, its name, mascot and artwork.
You may not share, resell or publish license keys, try to get around the trial or license checks, or copy, modify or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it.
3. Free trial
New users can use every feature free for 7 days. Scanning stays free after the trial; cleaning needs a license.
4. Buying and billing
Orders are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our online reseller and Merchant of Record, which also handles sales tax and VAT. Their buyer terms also apply to your purchase.
- Yearly plan: renews automatically each year until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your receipt email or by writing to us; Squeaky keeps working until the end of the period you paid for.
- Lifetime license: a one-time payment that includes free updates for Squeaky 1.x.
5. Refunds
If you're not happy, email hello@getsqueaky.app within 30 days of your purchase or renewal and we'll refund you in full. Once refunded, the license stops working. This doesn't affect any rights you have under consumer law in your country.
6. Your files and backups
Squeaky moves items to the Trash so you can put them back, labels items by how safe they are to remove, and asks before cleaning. Still, you decide what to remove. Please keep regular backups (for example with Time Machine), especially before large cleanups. The Shredder deletes files permanently and they can't be recovered.
7. Malware Protection
Malware Protection looks for known threats and risky settings. No security tool can find every threat, so it doesn't guarantee your Mac is free of malware. Keep macOS and your apps up to date.
8. Updates and support
We may update Squeaky to add features, fix problems or keep up with macOS. We offer support by email for paying customers.
9. No warranty
Squeaky is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we don't give warranties that it will be error-free or meet every need.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Squeaky in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
11. Ending these terms
You can stop using Squeaky at any time. If you break these terms, your license may end. Sections 6 to 10 continue after that.
